I know this doesn't belong here . . . no, scratch that - this does fit into "everything else".
I've spent about 4 days for a few hours each looking for the answer to a technical problem I'm experiencing. I have a LAN with ICS (working fine) and an @home cable internet connection. My machine is plugged directly into the modem. My @home email works fine. The others do not work at all. I get the host not found error. All I need is smtp on these other machines but I don't know where to start.
I've posted this question to cable newsgroups, speedguide and other cable related newsgroups, etc etc . . . along with a lot of searching through the web. And if you're asking "Why dont you just call your ISP?" . . . it doensn't support ICS, I'm on my own with it.
Any help is appreciated - I feel like a dolt posting this here but I'm desparate. People are yelling at me to get their email up
