With the help of a lot of you Sijun types, the site is back up on a new server, with a bunch of shit fixed. No more initial popups, plenty of Alt tags, larger text on the info sheets, but still no netscape support yet (got someone working on it).
I'd appreciate some feedback on the speed tho, from some stateside lads. It should be MUCH snappier.
Show me the pretty pictures.

cool, da monks are back
ok I know you weren't all that chuffed about the response you got last time. but there are still a lot of probems so far as useability is concerned. the main one being ledgability (or the lack of). now don't get me wrong, I love what you're doing with it but I have extreme trouble navigating the site. if the art were less in quality I really don't think I could be bothered.
my inital impressions:
ok loads fine, I'm on 33k and I can hack the speed. so I don't think there is really any problem with that. I see your splash screen and spend a while clicking on different parts. finaly the few brain cells I have left at this time of night manage to start working. out of hte way tucked right down in the corner are two small things with no rollover. I strain my eyes and move my head righ up till my nose is touching the screen. ah hah. "enter site" right you are then. *click*
now my past experiance has learnt me that these little things along the bottom are part of the nav, but I am having real trouble reading who's where. all the text is too small for some reason. but ok after tiping my head sideways and squinting I click on a name. it takes me a while to figure out what the arrows do, but after that I am a happy chappy .
Sideways text is a regestered no no as far as my GD teaching has gone. it's ok if you can read it but I really had to turn my head sideways on account of it being so small. there is also a lack of contrast in the type (and overall design I suppose but that can be just what you want?). I think you will lose a few people who don't know who you are and can't be bothered learning your site.
hehe, but nice art. all of you.
feel free to rebuttle with lots of nasty flames if you want. I think I am to understand you've spent a while doing this, and I'm not trying to be picky.

I'll be tweaking those tickets for the artists today, up the contrast a between the name and the ticket.. I don't actually know which browsers support popping up the "ALT" tag from the image when you hover over a link, but IE5 should definitely be doing it - that's one of the things I added when people brought the overall not-goodness of the sideways text to my attention.
If any of you are browsing the site, and hovering over a ticket doesn't give you a bigass "DANSAMA" prompt or something, can you let me know in the forums, or just click "CONTACT" on the main page?
Thanks for the feedback, lads, glad you're diggin' on the art ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |
