Romoved the pictures cuz they were disturbing me. I mean in a very serious way. I think i i will post again if i get a good one done.

Ok scince nobody is helping you, I guess I will. First of all...when I first looked at it I thought is was a big orange vortex....not a sinset, then I looked agian, so I think you need to study how light hits water. what does it do? It fragments and gets broken up. So when you have the sun hit the water, you need to make it "fragment". Are you working on this in photshop?? if you arent then I don't know if I can help you. well if you are, then explore the filters. I would suggest "ocean ripple" or "glass" also, to mek the clouds glow. use the dodge tool.(it makes things lighter.) Laterz. DEZI

Dezi: thx, i posted cuz it was really getting out of hand. I had no idea what i should do.
Ive got some referance images now so those helped. And im working in Corel photo-paint wich is a great but unappreciated program.

this is the first painting I ever did in painter (it is w/ watercolors mainly) about 2 months ago I guess. Hope that helps


As Goddess Dezi already said you have to study some real pictures of sunsets to be able painting them.
