I thought this could be interesting,.. I tried washing over b&w painting, the biggest and fattest head i could find on the internet. It would probably make a lot of sense to do detailed gray scale image and paint over it with higher opacity brushes. That should solve correct value problem and would allow to focus on lightning and design. What do you think ?

The image below is very low opacity wash which is probably not the way to do it.
