Wow!!! that is some seriously cool work. the rendering on the first one is fantastic and the way you've handled the second one is very nice, efficent use of brush strokes.
How long did these take you?
Can you give us a zoom up of the first one maybe .

Some ugly but great lookin critters there, Cos. Very solid looking work. The coloring looks really good and adds greatly to the form. I can't immediately think of much to crit here. Maybe just add some shadows under the bottom fella's feet so that he looks more like lifting his foot up rather than just being unbalanced... and maybe some color variation to his claws too.

Theses are nice. I think you posted the pencil sketch versions awhile ago if I'm not mistaken. Coloring these certainly improved them.
I agree with Rinaldo in that in his observation about your brush strokes. Great job!
My only complaint would be that these concepts are floating in space. I ground line or even a simple solid color background would give these guys "ground to stand on", so to speak.
But very cool; I look forward to more!

Thanks for the comments ppl!
Rinaldo - Not really sure how long that first one took. Started it a couple
o days ago and worked on it abit every day.. I was trying a new method of
working with these so they were kinda learning pieces too. Sure I'll post a
zoom in Still quite sketchy from close but neherminds..
Rhomb - I'll try adding that shadow under his foot and see how that works.
You're right about the colour variation too, thats something I really do have
to do more of..
Get-up-kid Yea I posted the sketches to these awhile ago, suprised you remembers
them.. I Don't think I will add a background to these ones, Just plain ol'
character concepts. I know it would be good to do an enviroment for them tho,
maybe I'll do some other pics of them with more interesting poses and angles,

Great Characters Cos!!!
I love the muscle structure, and your clever imagination for such unique characters... great colours, great work.
The top guy must workout quite a bit to keep that bod of his in such good shape ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |
