Hi there!
This here is my second 'real' attempt at coloring a picture using Dhabih Eng's tutorial.
Least to say, I still have much to learn, but think I can work my way up to.. well.. something.
The picture of the happy clown is drawn by NDR113, who's hard at work trying to 'master the ancient arts of doodling'! Without him, I wouldn't have much to color! Ya'll be seeing more of his artwork.
About the pic, well I made some mistakes, I know that, and the lighting is a bit off on some parts, but as a second try (also a second try with a silly Aiptek tablet) I think I did ok.
My biggest problems were the big 'undefined areas' like the hair and his coat. On the other hand, I think his pants look kinda nice.
I'm also having a little trouble of how to give it more sharp edges where need be, it seems too blurred at some points, and vice versa on some other spots as well, heehee.
Heck, there's a lot more I could go on about, but I think you get the idea, I don't really know what I'm doing yet!
I've done a few small things after this, that I think came out much better (after having practices with the tablet a lot) which I might post later on.
PS. I would like to thank many of the great artist around here for their inspiration and insight.. Thank you!
(I'm done talking now. Please crit my work, be cruel.)
