Thanks everyone. I'll add some more blue/fix the helmet. I'll post it when it's done. |

Cool, i like the "reverse lighting" effect and i think all you need to do is work on it a bit more, oh yea, the shoulder on the right is bothering me, the transition from light to dark it to subtle, gradiate it a bit more. maybe if you give a smaller more intense strieak of light on it it would look better!

Ok that is an awsome awsome peice and the only reason it looks different from teh rest(his helmet) is because it is very detailed and once he finishes it it should look good cause then the rest of the armor will look like that ...maybe. Awsome work and keep at it detail after little detail . |

This is the first real 2D work I've put on the forums. I thought I would take the time off of school for the holidays to draw something besides spheres and cubes.
I needs a lot of work still. And I know the composition is boring and it is monochromatic, yadda yadda. My photoshop paintings always seem to come out mono and flat. Still needs a lot of work, but I thought I would bounce it off you guys. I have the feeling there is some major flaw I am missing.
And disregard the background, that is probably going to change.

I like it a lot. The only thing that is bugging me is the helmet. It seems that it is renderd differently than the rest of the painting. Almost like it was from a totally different piece. I think its still very good though.

Let's face it, comedy is a dead art form. Now tragedy, ha ha ha, that's funny! |

Yeah, I agree. I need to find some way to tie it into his body. Shading should make the cheek piece receede a little more, but I guess it needs a strap or something. |

I like it very much, the helmet (to me) seems out of place only because it is almost finished, and the rest of the image is more of a rough start. It is not very rough, but I mean, you worked on the helmet more than the other areas. Post it when you are finished, I would like to see it.

I like the coloring on helmet. the body would look better if you added some of that blue/lilack looking color from the helmet on the right side of the body. I think it would bring all of the elemnts of the enviroment together. Well that's what I thinks.
Cool Idea keep going.

nice work, reminds me abit of the jafar soldiers of stargate with their battle armour on. Nice to see you starting to move into 2d as well as 3d Mr. Barker
You've done some excellent 3d work, im sure 2d will prove the same.
