The colors in the sky look pretty kick-ass. But, I think those colors would reflect more in the water, at least a little bit. And if the sun is setting, the land should be darker on shore. Cool sky though.

Sky sure looks like a scan to me. You can see how grainy it is compared to stuff thats been painted. Not to mention the fact that it's not even consistent with your painting style.

actually it was an old picture i made, lost the photoshop file so I had to use the jpg file, that's why it's grainy. As for style, it is my style, just i spent 4 days on the sky when I made it (about 1 month ago) and spent about 20 min on the beach, birds, and rock. That's why the style kinda doesn't match. So, it's not a scan.

Heh. JPGs aren't a really lossy format... it shouldn't be THAT grainy. Anyway..... the styles don't really match and the highlights on the wings aren't even on the bird itself. And why dont you jsut paint in a sun? But anyway.... yah I like the sky and the .... rock in the corner.

"JPGs aren't a really lossy format..."

That really depends since most programs that save JPGs allow you to determine how much compression to use. Try saving an imagine in Photoshop with a quality level of 0 and you'll see some serious loss

Gabe, don't lie about the sky. It's clearly not painted by you. Lying is what turned you into the pariah you are now. Be good.

[edit]Oh, and JPEG compression DOES NOT look like film grain. The grain you're seeing in the picture there is from cheap film. JPEG compression looks much more digital and involves squares and desaturation.[/edit]

MAxwell... think about it. Who would want to save an image like that in a jpg quality of 0? And ebsides JPG doesn't cause granineess...... it causes artifacting.

Besides the sky, that rock looks like its floating. Put some sand in front of it to look like its in the picture.

I love it how some people who to put it nicely 'havent ben drawing for too long' never forget to put a big signature on their masterpieces.

I agree with A.Buttle, sky is either a photo paintover or some other form of rip off. It really doesn't look like a person who painted that sort of sky would paint such ocean and a rock.
