Hi there. This is a color concept for a 3d animation project I'm doing with couple of my friends. He's supposed to be the main villain (Duke Bratas, for now) in the story. The project has been in planning stages few months and is in kinda frozen state now, waiting the day we have more time on our hands. Anyway, crits and comments are more than welcome.

Hi Rhomb
Excellent job on that concept, I can't really point anything out, excpet that it looks like all his hair is growing out from the same spot on top of his head....
You've captured the badguy look quite well and done a good job on his facial expression. The leather texture also looks pretty neat.

Thanks, Ko. Yup, I see what you mean. I was aiming for a wind messed hair style but I guess the parting could be a tad longer, more clear and coming closer toward the forehead.

...heh, the hairline looks actually quite weird. Gotta fix that. Just talking to myself here.

Wow.... neat work.. can't see anything wrong with it.
You want to tell something more bout this project? Are you creating a mod for Q3A? |

Thankyou Jenn
El Caseron, thanks. No, it's not a Q3 mod. At first we just decided that we want try to do something more complicated than a simple charachter doing something funny. We started brainstorming an idea that popped up and now we found ourselves designing a whole world with a history, different species, cultures and technology. It's a some kind of quasi-historic setting with some references to our(Earth's) history. I have a strong feeling we are aiming way too high, actually I know that, but heck, it's fun and it's a hobby (for now ). The main story handles a great adventure of brave individuals and anti-heros, intrique and epic battles between somewhat good and more like an evil forces of course, and yet maybe even some aliens. We have to crop the story of the actual animation with a very heavy hand to a reasonable limits considering the resources we have; 4 guys, maybe 5 depending which kind of math you use, and no one has ever time to do anything. It's propably just going to be an prologue for a bigger story that will never see the light of day. What we have for now is a rough plot draft, some concept pics and few rough 3d models. Hmm, I don't think I'm gonna reveal anything more for now (or until I have something more to reveal).
