ok, I was sitting around wondering if I could still draw anything close to a more proper anatomical figure... but unfortunately my cartooning background plays into almost everything I draw now... this is what I came up with, it took me a total of maybe 10 minutes to draw... [I was watching TV]
basically, what I was doing was, I'm inspired by all the outstanding art here, and it's actually got me interested in art once again, I was planning on becoming a musician, recently, but now I'm hoping to go to art school... [my childhood career choice]
you can tell how my cartoon influence plays in, with the hands, misproportioned anatomy, and the feet...
I don't like the head on the body, I'm going to put something closer to the head that's in the bottom left corner...
thanks, please give me all comments that pop into your head, I'd love to hear all of them!

I think it would look cool if you combined the face, mouth and eyes of the head in the bottom left with the hair on the head on the body you drew. I can definately see a cartoon look to this drawing. Interesting to see what this would all look like finished and colored.
BTW, did you make the little guy you've got in your signature? He's cool.

thanks, I wasn't sure how much I wanted to put into this tpicture, seeing that it is pretty much developmental practice...
but I'll *try* to color it.. and I'll post it when I'm done...
yeah, I drew the little guy, you'll notice him @ www.truescene.com -- he's supposed to be a depiction of myself... I have green hair, and almost always wear orange shoes, and black pants =D

Well I'm not much of an anatomy guy. Still gotta study that myself The most apparent thing that hits me.... is the fingers. The guy only has 4 fingers. Humans have 5. Also, the stomach area is a bit small, not very much muscles defined. Keep in mind that the rib cage creates somewhat a upside down U. Not sure if you get my meaning. Anyway, length wise, the arm seems fine. The elbow is supposed to drop to where the belly butotn is around, and you did that. Also, in real life, the waist area doesn't really get any smaller than that. Waist should be about the same size of shoulders I belive. Bigger for women. Also, his geet are big as well. His feet should be a few inches longer than his hand. Mmmmm. that's all I have to say. Looks promising as a cartoon. |
