The iris looks very good, but you should add some "bright points" to have sth like a "mirror effect".
The eye socket in the upper part looks a little bit too "rough-edge". I would shade this more smooth.
Anyway, you should add more shadows. The eyelashes look good (is it ..lashes???) but you should more define the edge of the eye (especially the lower).

It looks nice but i would put some highlights
on the eye and make the 'fleshy part on the left more red/pinkish now ik looks like dry skin. And I like eyelashes!

The skin is too bright. But the rest is good. |

AdezJ, very nice improvement... i would suggest that maybe you add a few little wrinkles or something to the skin around the eye. |

Hey guys, I just got a really kewl idea.
Whenever someone does a drawing and posts it... we should all like... comment on it then make improvements on the drawing until it's ... good! This way, all the newbies like me could learn someth'n. And the experienced. *sinister laugh* could boss around if you want.

That's beautiful, Adezj! I really love the iris and the lashes. I think you should put some light reflections on the eye itself, though... I think it'd make it look more alive

The iris itself looks pretty good, but the anatomy of the eye isn't quite right. The upper eyelid has no volume, for a start. Same with the lower. Additionally, the eyeball itself doesn't seem like it's quite spherical.
As far as your revised version... I think you went a bit overboard with darkening it. Look at your own eye in the mirror, and pay attention to where the shadows actually fall. For instance, you'll probably notice that the top part of your lower lid is nearly as bright as the skin around it (unless you happen to have eyeshadow on.)
One other little thing, eyeballs usually aren't pure white. It'll probably look a lot more realistic if you give it a hint of yellow. |

Guys, I think this post died a couple weeks ago. We seem to be having a rash of resurrections lately. From last month is okay, but watch out for ones from January...
