So what you guys are saying is that until I get a webpage there is really no way for me to show my work here? If so that's cool, or if my art is on the web somewhere can I just point a link to it?

Hippie, you don't really need your own webpage, however that would make it easier. You can set up a web server on your own machine. If you are running windows 98 you could download and use pws - personal web server
if its windows 2000 you already have a web server you just need to install it through add/reove programs.

The easiest would be to get a geocities.com account and upload you work there.

somebody said it needs to be accesible by the internet what if it is a just a jpg that is on my computer? I don't have a web page up yet.

Any help would be appreciated this is my first time joining a BB.

well, to post a pic you have to upload it to any server (webpage), even if you have it on your computer. Then you use the UBB code to insert the image URL.

To show pictures, your picture *has* to be on a "web-server", so that when you type in the image code on your message post, the code can access the image on the other web server and display the image on the message post to viewers. If it's on your harddrive, no one can see it because your hard drive has no uploading connection to the internet.
