I need a crit and advice, my little brother spotted the unusual nature of the arm joint and that worries me. Here

I like it!! Great shading. 2 things i would do though (just opinion): make the tail longer and the feet longer (mainly the nails).
Well, keep up the good work!

I have a question about pencil sketching in general from looking at this pic. First off, I like it, seems very Star Wars like, which I love. Anyhoo, the question for you is, looking at all the shading, around the face and stuff like that, do you do that by pencil, kinda like coloring, or by smudging from the outline ? I am still into doodling, and would like to get better, thus must learn sometime. All I really do when i doodle is just kinda use the different tones of my mechanical pencil since I like the fine-ness of the lead. I colour all the shading, and smudge when necessary. I have not really tried using different pencil hardnesses, since I have no really believed in investing in 20 dollar pencils if I am gonna suck at drawing. Any comments/advice welcome
Thanks
