I have been watching a lot of anime lately. Spent 18 hours last week looking nonstop at anime. And ive seen quite a lot. So i would like to know what series/movies other people like. Ghost in the shell is not an option EVERYBODY has seen that. |

My favorite color is green. Did you know that? No?
That's because I keep stuff like that to myself here and post it in the RANDOM MUSINGS section if I feel the need to share.

This is not a random musing.... but my fault anyway... i should specify more what i want... SORRY SORRY SORRY...
Ive been talking with some anime freaks so i take everything for grantrd
Anyway i want to know your favorite anime and the person(s) who made it. I was referring to anime as the drawing style not the story. Oh and manga is ok too. |

this is a random musing. it's just that people put this sort of thing in here all the time instead so it's sort of become "ok".
there have been a few threads concerning favorite anime's in the past. one was in the random musings I recall. use the search.
"I was referring to anime as the drawing style not the story. Oh and manga is ok too."
I'm not sure about what you're talking about here.
but now that said I might as well add that my fave anime is Porco Rosso by Hayao Miyazaki (sp). |

fine fine, just kick me in the nuts and get it over with
And i consider random musings as a place not realted to art mainly because you find something like "a girl looked at me today"

"Digital Art Forum
Got questions about art technique, want feedback, or have a question for me? Click here."
"Random Musings
Talk games, movies, news, or whatever else that has nothing to do with art. Stuff that doesn't fit in the other forum."
I'm not kicking anyone in the nuts. there is a lot of room for "interpretaion" in the topics really. there are also a bunch of threads way more useless than this one. I just feel that random musings would be a good place to put threads like this. |

I'd consider Akira to be more mainstream than Ghost In The Shell, I first saw Akira over 6 years ago, only saw G.I.T.S a few month ago
Anyways, I'd say those two, becuase theyre both utterly amazing, in both animation quality, and detail, and umm...Urot Sukidoji for just plain weirdness and sexual deviency.

Talkin bout ANIME... Gundam waz certainly kool way back in d 80s... Now, deyve revamped d suitzz. I had a chance to visit "Syd-D-Man-Mead" bout 10 years ago... n I waz surprised dat he waz asked to help with Star Blazers or Space Battleship Yamato... n Gundam.
Ahhhh Star Blazers... "tonz" o memoriezz with dat AMAZIN animated seriezzz...
D sheer drama n itz "technological" allure it had fer me... still remainz to dis day. Even d "theme" song waz sort of heroic n kool!!!!
"We're off... to outer space... We're leaving mother Earth..."
http://members.tripod.com/~mjman/yamato/starblazers.html
To quote UCHU SENKAN:
http://uchusenkanyamato.click2site.com/index2.html
"When YAMATO was brought here to America some aspects of it were changed. It was renamed 'STAR BLAZERS' and the YAMATO was renamed the ARGO. The very center of the series in Japan centered around the YAMATO herself. But in the American version it is the crew, the STARFORCE. The purpose and the dream of the series still remained."
M new here... just discovered d Digital Art Forum early yesterday mornin.
Yeah!!!! KOOL!!!!
Itzzz great to meeet u guyzzzz!!!!
Drop by at my pad (wen u can) n check out d sketchezzzz... Just made it yesterday, so nothin much fer now... N yeahzzz, I dont talk like dis in real life. ONLY IN D NET!!!!!!

I know of some GREAT anime. But it isnt in TV or video form, they are comic books. You get them in china and there has been a real life crappy attempt to remake them.
They are called: RETURN OF THE CONDOR HEROES!
iknow iknow they title sounds really corny but you gotta check em out. The best i've seen. They have a web site you just got to look for it. here is an img of one of the main characters. His name is Yang Guo. But trust me all this stuff looks better in the actual comic book.
sorry for the size

I think, OLD SKOOL, that it is possible that you've missed the meaning behind my comment....
Were the subtle literary qualities of my mocking imitation to much for you to grasp?
