Or maybe the question should be: why do OTHER women get all the posts? I am just as much a female as Enayla(her being the most posted on woman/person on the forum) and the number of other known women, and it isn't like I've made a big secret about it. but I've found that they get way more posts than me. and I realize that I am NOT as good as enayla, I don't think that my stuff sucks amaturish crap either... so maybe it's just that I haven't come right out and SAID it in a single post so that everybody can know, and my art doesn't look particularly girly I guess.

So, I AM A WOMAN. and if that makes any of you other people want to post in my stuff more, good. I feel kinda pathetic cuz I get so few posts most of the time.

Seriously though, I've noticed the same thing for the entire time I've been on the forums. Like you said, Enayla's got talent and does great stuff but there's other stuff out there just as good that won't get nearly the same number of posts. I just try to remember that this isn't a contest to see who can rack up the most posts.

Personally, I stay away from most posts by people like Enayla, spooge, Liquid!, etc. unless I feel like I have something to say that hasn't been said by the other 50 something people that already posted. Sure, lately I've posted quite a bit in threads with Liquid! or spooge but I wasn't posting the usual "wow, great stuff as usual man..." kinda stuff...I was asking questions and getting answers or giving my view on things. I think I've only posted in a couple spooge threads and I think I posted in a couple Enayla threads when she first started up here on a regular basis...but lately I can't remember the last time I've commented in a thread of hers.

Bottom line is, male or female, talent or no talent, as a rule of thumb I only post if something I'm thinking hasn't been said yet or if I have an opinion to give on something in the piece. The time spent giving somebody a pat in the back (with another 50 people doing the same) can be better spent trying to help someone else that happens to have a problem I can help with.

Besides, it's only natural for a group of predominately guys to gravitate to pretty women I mean, it doesn't hurt that a few of the more well known women here have posted pics or self portraits of themselves...it always helps artists to link faces to names, at least for me it does. I guess I've resisted that urge to flock to female threads since there're better ways to spend what little time I've got to browse these forums. I just have different priorities when I'm here.

Ok, shutting up now, I think I made my point. Don't despair, there's really nothing to do about it except to make some stuff that catches some attention so just do what I do and do your best to improve to the point that you'll be the one getting post after post

This is kind of funny cause Enayla mentioned to me that she feels she gets too many replies cause she is female and she doesn't feel it is because of her talent. I usually try to chime in on her posts to give a constructive crit here and there. She wants me also, so I have to try and be nice to her. Gotta keep the ladies sat... oh wait.. went off in my own world there for a second.

Oh, well ICQ never crashed my computer but it has for most of the others here, heh. Last thing I need is a crash to screw with my groove when I'm trying to do some art so I just eliminate any non-necessary factors.

Microsoft Outlook actually does crash me though, I keep that up though since I talk to my friends through e-mails instead of ICQ and there're usually company e-mails going back and forth.

faustgfx (<--- note the GFX!!! ) pretty much hit the nail on the head. Enayla's so popular partly because she's amazingly talented, and partly because she's attractive, but mostly because she's a very very nice person, friendly to all. Especially people who feel like the whole world is shunning them just to make a point.

And, as Chapel so eagerly demonstrates, that leaves us poor primitive males with the notion that there's some special connection, and so we all flock to her posts to pay tribute. We're all deluded, somewhere in the back of the subconscious parts of our small minds, ever ready to jump to conclusions, that we're her special net buddy/web flirt/secret crush/digital teddy bear. When, in fact, she's just being friendly to everyone.
