Hi everyone. My first post woohoo!
I see a lot of people saying that you need to get your name out. What is the most effective way of doing this? I have a gallery on [URL=http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/h/a/harrisr/harrisr.html[/URL] but I highly doubt that is going to be good enough. How have many of you people gotten your names out?

Oh yeah and if you checked out my pics on elfwood well heh those are kinda old. The colored one is the best I can do with a mouse and the time I have what with school and all.

Before you "get your name out" you want to make really sure that your portfolio is strong enough to associate your name with. If you put your stuff out there prematurely, then your name is simply known as someone who does crappy, unprofessional art. It may take awhile to recover from that.

Spend a little time on your work and make it something that you're confident in and ready to show. Don't show your stuff to potential client or employer if you have to preface it with "I can really do better than this" or "this is my old work, I'm much better now."

If you put out great work, your name will be out there.
