I think it looks awesome, not only in design but in your rendering. The metal texturing is excellent IMO. Maybe a little more polish (less wear?) on the blade itself? But that might clash a little and unbalance the look.
Not to second guess your designs function, but I disagree with the comment about this being a useless sword. One can easily imagine the guard on either side folding up and exposing the blade. I deal mostly in animation so I tend to look at the possible ranges of motion in things.
I'd have this baby fold up just like the character armor in the movie STARGATE. Remember the presto chango head dress the baddies had? I might even take this one step further and have it flip entierly around to encase the users hand making the arm an extension of the weapon. Excellent work.

harhar, looks nice but very funny. and i don't think a sword should look funny *ggg*
but hey, i'm sure your sword can fly with this wings, cool thing...
maybe just use this two 'wings' for some other graphic, 'cause they look quite good. but they don't fit at all to your sword |

I think it looks great. I'd like the design a lot. I would like to see some shiney marks in the metal from where the wings have been opening and closing to give it more of a sense of use. |

hmm, some confusion here ?
The sword isn't thought as a sword you'd 'use', hoped people would figure that out but i guess you need some fantasy flair for it.
The sword IS useless, see it as a logo, emblem, something you'd see centered on a huge gothic looking door etcetc. I'm sure any of you have seen similar stuff on TV eh ? ...on shields, walls etc.
Uhh damn, you got me Sizzor, Diablo invented the swords!!!!!!!!!i hope they didn't put a copyright on them!!!!!!!!Looks like someone stole your brain!!!!!!
Sorry, but i don't like the S word at all. |

First thing to come into my head when seeing your sword: "Oooh, funky shit!"
Hee hee, I really like that
Those wing-like guards(?) look really awsome, but maybe they could be a bit smaller. I dunno, that's just what I think. Pay it no mind if you like.

Ehhm, see, i knew this shit would happen when someone starts dropping ignorant brainless comments. Think before you write Sizzor and if your mind stays blank, just let it be.
The sword is 100% original, not looked off from anywhere. I guess the guy meant that *look and mood* wise the sword could be out of Diablo. There's nothing looking remotely similar in Diablo/Diablo2 as far i can tell or anywhere else i would know of. It's just a stupid misc piece with a (hopefully) tech-gothic touch. Now, some architect might want to sue me for the 'gothic' touch.
AMEN to the issue, thx.
thx for the links tough, there are always debates about the topic.

People of Springfield! That's a shield I'm telling you.
The swordy part is just there to confuse the enemy.

I like the gif! Very shiny and........err..........<total thought lost as total attention is focused on spinning sparkly thing>
<sudden snap back!>
Oh! And it's nice seeing the sword with more detail? May I ask how long you've worked on this total? Changes look good. I still want to clean the blade a little though. Great work!
