I'm becoming interestred in traditional mediums. And since I have never painted in my life, I was wondering if anyone know's any good online resources to something like this.
Some online movies of the process that one takes in using non-digital meduims, oil, gouache, acrylic, or water color would be absoultly perfect. Thanks again ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

For traditional mediums I think nothing beats a hands on teacher and an actual class. If you can manage to get the time and money together to take a class I'm sure you will not regret it. In the meanwhile however you might want to peak around in some of the links/forums here. Might be something good, I find it hard to judge. People talking about the pros and cons of "berol paper wrap charcoal pencils" just goes right over my head in terms of understanding. All I know is 2H \ HB and the pink thing is my eraser.

Definitive answer: Media, not mediums. Mediums are people who channel the dead to communicate with the living.
As for videos of traditional media in action, I can only recommend something like Bob Ross or similar public television programming that goes step-by-step. I've seen similar shows with still art, water color, and landscapes. I don't know how much can be learned from those, but it's a start and it seems to be what you're looking for.

LOL, it's media of course...
Dear Winston,
it's mediums when the Party says it is mediums, and media when the Party says so. And sometimes, when the Party so desires, 2+2=5.

Traditional media are pretty neat. I am working on an oil painting right now in ArtIII.
