does the counter in the top right corner show up as a white number or as "888888" in green digits?
If you get one or the other can you please reply to this thread and tell me which and what browser and version you are using.

counter doesn't work, lynx something, debian *nix :P

Works just fine with Netscape 6 [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m18) Gecko/20001108 Netscape6/6.0] as well

Browser:: Opera 5.02 - latest build as of yet
OS:: Windows 98 SE
Dhabs counter:: Working great
Oh, and I highly recommend everyone try the new Opera browser. After using every build of IE and Netscape since '93 I am never going back, for a multitude of reasons.

Yeah there are many circumstances why people use a certain browser, for instance if you run networked software that is dependent on IE for various services. Why do you use MSIE faustgfx (just curious)?

I have 6 green digits in the top left of the screen. IE latest build.
heh.. nevermind.. they are gone. weird.

i use msie 'cause it works the best for me and i'm used to using it for net and local directories and after i'm done browsing a local dir i can just type an address to the address dir (nt4, no address bar on the taskbar for me with this install). i also like doing javascript with ie 'cause netscape is a bitch at times with that and i can tell people to just fuck netscape and use ie if they want to see this. then there are the aforementioned internal circumstances, for example, doing parts of our intranet would be virtually impossible with netscape. ie uses less resources. then the little fact that my ~600 or so bookmarks are in ie. yadda dadda. alot of reasons. and right now i'm using netscape6 to write this post. har.
