Just a couple of things.. and don't take this as being mean.. just advice.

First thing is you might want to contribute to the forum alot more before you start asking the professionals to give you free demos. They come here on occasion when they have free time to show stuff they are working on. You are kinda asking Liquid! to work for you for free.

Second is you want to always give credit to the artist who did the linework. Even though they signed it you want to give em props so to speak.

Third.. the critique. You have the same problem I have it looks like. There isn't enough contrast and seperation in your tones. If you change your image to greyscale it all pretty much blends in together. You also want to keep in mind a lightsource. Your highlights are all over and don't seem to be coming from any particular source. Last but not least you want to make sure you are adding form to the lineart and not just coloring it in.

In any case, welcome to the coloring club. You will hear simular critiques over and over.

So sorry. I just seemed like they did that often, an about the artist, I never seem to be able to remember his last name!

But all credit to him, whoever he is, and I will put the advice to work for me.

heh... I've been here forever and Liquid! has never said anything to me about my colors, so... don't get your hopes up.

(Course now that I say this he will probably give you a critique to spite me. CURSES!!!)

Your coloring is coming along. I think the critique Chapel gave you sums it up for me.

Iv been coming here for a few months and finally got to talkn to Liquid at 3:00 in the morning about his Darth Vader. I got a chance to give him some friendly advice about the helmet. I was pretty tickled about it.

The image is coming along nicely but the colours are not seperated enough. Anyhow the following link has a couple of good short tutorials about comic colouring. I'd recommend checking out links 1, 5, 6, 7.

www.comiccolors.com/index1.html

Then click on 'tutorials' at the top of the screen

If you want some practice to try to match a 'professional', check out:

www.joemadureira.com

as he has a posting of a black and white TMNT and also the coloured version.
