Hey Rage, i understood your point for the first time. i agree that it is a battle machine and that's why is soo harsh, but i only said, is too massy and you can't see the shapes. but anyway i like the rendering you did ...

Thanks for posting that sketch page, Bizarde. It tells me that I'm not going about it the wrong way drawing this one bot. Man, those are great sketches! You have some heavy 3d senses!
Thanks synj, first time I got a compliment for coloring something on this board Actually, this is the first thread where I've had three actual compliments. World record! (arms up in air) Yaaahhhh!
Bizarde, if this were an action figure toy, I painted it the colors I'd want it, so you guessed my intentions exactly!
Sporq, I love the "anime-solid colors" coloring you gave the robot. You maxed out on the highlights and shaded regions quite well, and props for guessing that part of the "head" is under the "snake hood" and shading it - I missed that one :P
Rage, I dig the torched metal effect. The dirt and rust is a bit blotchy though. Some textures with harder edges and lots of shape would do better.
