Eheheh i knew everyone would spot mein right away =]
I did the flag of Mother Russia on purpose! And then Nex sent me another tile to do REALLY fast, so i did something American related.... an indian ;)

Hey Nex, do some touch up to make it smoother, like in between Awetopsy and Rihaldo there is some cr*P in between - would make it much prettier ;D.

Anyways y'all bums, hope to see you all working on the next tile soon! And make it just a little bit bigger (x1.5 or x2)

LOL. I am surprised my purple tree actually doesn't look 1/2 bad connecting to the other grids.

Congrats to all concerned - I think this can be put down as a real success.

Special thanks to Nex for running the game for us.

Next time (and I hope that there is a next time!) I would suggest making the tiles slightly larger. I found it difficult to get much detail into my tile, due to the small size. Anyone else agree?

Hugz Ampa.

thanks Nex for the terrific opportunity!

*raises hand* yeah, it was fun being in the last one, count me in after those who haven't done it yet..

Ampa - yeh, that was my first opinion when looking back at my work, but more people could get in if the tiles were kept the same (eh, maybe a little bigger) and more avaliable tiles were added. oh well.

heh, the whole thing gives me a warm fuzzy feeling hope we do it again.

Why are you people taking all the time to email tiles and do this manually when you could go to http://tiles.ice.org and have all the work done for you? (where the idea originally started anyway)

The only bonus of doing it your way is that you can pick and choose the artists that will join the picture. Version 2 of tiles.ice.org will allow multiple quilts at a time and allow them to be pasword protected so yu can invite whoever you want. Do as many tiles as you want, and not have to wait for anyone to finish to get a new tile.

well we seemed to do pretty well on our own, thanks to nex. when the new version of tiles.ice.org comes out, sounds like it'll be good. but until then, no use getting indignant and ranting about what "we people" are doing.

My compliments to all the artists by the way. 100x better than the current pic at http://tiles.ice.org. Was hoping some of the talent here would spill that way.

The original quilt there started off really great, but a few rotten eggs really ended up blowing the whole thing with lack of effort, or sometimes intentionally creating sloppy/ugly tiles (most of which were deleted).

Really like it. The ones at tiles.ice.org.... is considerably worse. I think a suggestion for the next game would be to actaully give a broad theme on what to work around so the picture would have some kind of... "story" to it.

root88 - i dunno. your first post sounded upset to me, but i guess i'm insane. i should be nice i guess, i came pretty close to being in ice a couple times. maybe i'll add a tile onto tiles.ice.org myself. do you have any estimated time of arrival for the second version?

Judging by the fact that 5 in every 6 posts are people interested in getting involved for next time . . . it was a success!

I'm very fond of the theme idea, too. Count me in for the nex' one

It turned out real nice, I thought it would be bigger though.

It'd be nice if the name of each artist would appear as you passed over each tile with your mouse.

Drorak: the names DO appear when you are with the mouse over it. are you sure you clicked the thumbnail?
