No it wasn't, hehe. But it was bloody gorgeus. Don't try to put me of my highhorse "raises finger"
But if you don't spread the word I'll tell you a secret. I liked Pluto Nash with Eddie Murphy. Somehow when others started puking I got more immersed.
In the 60's hundreds of people were lobotomized cause they ONLY liked quality films. They were simply to fucking weird. |

there's common to re-use scenes in the industry, Disney did it a lot. feels like a rip off sometimes knowing that you pay 25 dollars for the cinema.
I really liked the little red riding hood, was quite out of the ordinary imo. |

Yeah thats a rip off Quintus. Somebody in the studio must have rattled.
I liked parts of red riding hood. I wan't a wolf like that to be my pet.
Cowboys and aliens wasn't the disaster I'd expected reading the reviews.
Planet of the apes evolution I'll friggin buy the blureay for once.
Like a kinder egg. Prison movie. Drama. Clever good action. humour. (sex?) no no sex.
Wen't to see some live music yesterday. Realized that you can't be a good soul/blues singer if you aint relaxed. Friggin thing was uneven, man that's why Stevie wonder so good. Blind as a bat. The guy I watched was shaking his upper body like crazy. Hands feeling up some invisible woman.
But that didn't help. Still not relaxed. If i only had a singing voice...heh. |

Is that an alien freighter ship lacking weapons? Curious to see if the plot in battleship won't be ludicrous.
Anybody else excited about the three musketeers?
Like Christopher Waltz but the rest of the cast? mediocreville citizens.
And that Show Falling skies, not good. But guess you should watch mediocre shows to appreciate the good ones. |

Three musketeers. Average. Milla Jovowich was great. Looks great, acts great. I wonder if she...
Colombiana = shitty picture. nuff said.
"Crazy stupid love" with steve Carell started great and then nothing.
But could just have been me, the rest of the audience laughed more.
Anyway a tip is to see "planet of the apes evolution" if you haven't. Simply this years must see. A good suspense thriller. Not a brainless movie at all, the opposite. Tactile, emotional...GREAT! |

I actually really liked Crazy, Stupid, Love. I loved that scene with Emma Stone in Ryan's Gossling's bachelor pad--it was super cute and had amazing chemistry. It's been a very long time since I saw such great dialogues between romantic interests in a romantic comedy.
What's "planet of the apes evolution"? Is that a different name for Rise of the Planet of the Apes? If so, yeah, I liked that a lot too. It didn't cater to the lowest common denominator--thank God. |

Yeah I'm biased against Ryan Gosling. Rubs me the wrong way. But sure the boy can act. Will smith and Matt Damon is worse though, I can stand them in easy stuff but when I see the oscar statue in the glim of their eye, urghhh.
Gotta say the overreaching actor in general is a sad thing.
Started to see the movie Drive. Liked the premise and everything, but Gosling as a badass wheeldriver with a tothpick in his mouth felt soo wrong. That soundtrack with an 80's feel was the bomb though. Kinda Michael Mann vibe there. |

Streep takes different drugs for each role, that how she "disappear".
She's the reason why I don't watch interviews with actors unless I really have to. Nothing special as a person, and now the magic is gone when I see her on the big screen. But I guess it can work opposite a somewhat shitty actor can be tolerable if you like them in private.
Saw scarface again last night. What a sad movie. Pacino eff-in ruled. Great soundtrack nice mood. Loved the end fight. Say hello to my little friend!
Saw Real steel. It was ok. but what I'm really excited about is the tv show Homeland with Claire Danes (terminator 3, Igby goes down).
Had she been a little cuter she would be my dreamwoman. (and I won't watch any interviews with her! ) |

Anybody seen mission impossible ghost protocol?
The bad guy in that movie is a swede who was the lead guy in girl with the dragon tattoo. What's a bit weird is that it hasn't been big news here in sweden while Naomi Rapace who was the lead girl in "the girl with.." and has a part in the new sherlock holmes movie and in the upcoming Ridley Scott alien film has gotten plenty of interviews etc.
He seems a bit overlooked that's all. |

Braveheart decent flick. You could tell Mel Gibson is a player, but then again maybe it's hard to be on location (pun intended). But I you are a young Gibson you get mindblowing pootang, can he be faulted?
If anything I would have liked more politics to much popcorn movie.
Patrick McGoohan as "King Edward 1" was great as a ruthless but calculating king. A bit laughable was the first battle where the good guys seemed invincible in hand to hand combat. They didn't spare on the extras though. Better than the "Gladiator's" opening battle.
Anybody seen any good films lately or disagree with me? Would be nice with some feedback.

I recommend the movie "smultronst�llet" (wild strawberries) by Ingmar Bergman. I had only seen parodies of Ingmar Bergmans work and thought he would be boring and overly complicated. Well can't say I got all the layers but the movie was GREAT. Very touching and insightful. You were hooked like a hungry seabass.
After that movie I puked over shit like "Inception" and "Terminator salvation". It was like I had got used to french cousine and got served a Big Mac. I'm not dissing science fiction here. Movies like "The matrix" and "Terminator 2" are like luxury Hamburgers. |

Pulp Fiction! YEAH! Pirates of the Caribbean, NAH!
The scifi "splice" with Adrian Broody was kind of nice, interesting concept. But wasn't all it could been.
I mean how hard can it be to bare in mind that a movie/script need to have both heart and brain.
Some writers/directors just go ahead with to little know how. People will probably keep doing bad movies. But you feel when somebody have gone all in or at least have some work moral. |

Like Indiana Jones but I don't get the excitement about E.T and Jaws.
Jurassic Park was a technical landmark, but when you watch it now it's a sleeping pill. Well that was me sitting on my high horse(which I like).
What I would like is a really good tennis movie, Sure there is the romantic comedy Wimbledon. But I wan't something serious and great. I'm hooked on tennis atm. And im a racketaholic. Have 3 different rackets. And testing 2 more this week.
Anybody care to disagree or like to share besides me and durgldeep please feel free to.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is also something that could be worthwile.
And regarding movies the 4k home theater projectors getting cheaper and smaller. Wonder how long until 4k discs is out. 3-5 years? |

IMO you'd need a truly gigantic screen to be able to appreciate the difference between 2k and 4k ... I mean, 2k looks fine even on a 10m cinema screen, as long as you aren't watching a CG movie with inadequate antialiasing (was surprised to see so much aliasing in Rango ... guess they ran out of render time).
We have some 103" (2.61m) plasma screens here at the studio and 1080p content looks great on them. You have to sit pretty close to start noticing pixels. Projectors are even more forgiving, since the image is never perfectly in focus.
4k would be a nightmare for cable/broadcast too ... they already have to compress the life out of 1080p content to fit it down the pipe, I can't imagine how badly cable TV providers would mangle 4k content.
I'm sure 4k consumer content will get here, but it's going to be a niche product for quite a while, and may not ever really take off in a big way.

Interesting. what made me drool over 4k was this new projector http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/16/red-teases-4k-redray-player-and-projector/
So maybe it's cinema quality projectors getting cheaper I'm really sold over.
Maybe this is the wrong forum for this but I looked at a
JVC DLA-X30 earlier this year and wasn't THAT impressed. But when this redray projector and the likes start getting reasonably priced i'll never set my foot in a cinema. I'd buy my own popcorn machine. |

Abraham Lincoln vampyre hunter had some good action. Great cinematogrophy. The story felt maybe not as good. But a good flick with great visuals.
Waiting for total recall. The trailer was awesome. (bladerunner thingy design)
