Someone smiled upon me and actually let me FINISH this picture. Its only taken me bout a BILLION years! I dont know how everyone else is able to chug out pictures so fast! crap! it takes me a year and a day! I must be going about it all wrong!

Well if anyone remembers my previous post a LONG time ago, you might remember seeing the early stages of this picture. At any rate, here is the final product. One of a very few COMPLETE pictures i've finished..... I dont know if i'll come back to this to finish it just because i've been F@@$#KING doing this picture forever and a day, but your comments and crits are always welcome! It will definetly help me in my next endeavor which I HOPE wont take me a million years...

For the pic, I used some reference for the Tiger's face and stripes, and the background heiroglyphs I also used some reference to get semi-accurate symbols and pictures on the wall. Everything came out of my Tin Can of a head!

enough babbling.... here goes!

for the high res version 2200x1100pixels or so... try: http://www.geocities.com/radixmalorum666/tgrfulres.jpg

looking forward to critique!

That's a pretty slick image... But what's a Tiger doing in Egypt?

Wow, it's good to see you finally finished it. It turned out really nice. I really like the background you've chosen too. I can really imagine that this tiger is the pet of some affluent Egyptian... uhm. Guy. Anyway, it fits the setting really well. Good job.

If you were going to change anything... the tiger's paws look a bit blurry, and the rug looks a bit too thin. (persian rugs are often up to 1/2 inch thick - yours looks like it's not much thicker than a beach towel.) But that's just nit-picking. Great image.

nice pic !

but another nit-pick, egyptians drew their humans, with the body facing to the viewer, and the head twisted in the direction(left/right)

ehhh....never mind, just some stupid tthing i got hung up on.

a.buttle: lol!

Visigoth: actually the whole thing with this image was that i couldnt decide where to put the tiger, ie. didnt know what background to put in. My earlier post of this picture I had lots of responses as to what my background is, and i finally just came up with like a house, and then i decided it lacked detail so i threw in the egtyptian setting....and well.... thats why theres a tiger in egypt LOL!

shahar2k: tee hee

waylon: hey thanx! as for the paws, the reason they are blurry which i noticed as well, is that i drew the tiger first and THEN drew the background and not both at the same time. which kind of gave it a "i pasted the tiger into the picture" look too it...oh well i learned my lesson! and about the RUG your absolutely right! i was trying to put my finger on it cuz something bothered me and i couldnt figure out what! great observation mayan!

Hurri-cane: oh, i didnt know that, cuz i used a book that had pictures of heiroglpyhics and actually that stance of the two girls on either side was basically the same stance outta the book... sooo... thats why... but interesting observation!

Nice.

I was attempting a lion image not to long ago, it was a decent first wacom picture, but then I tried to go back and paint over the origonal paint; screwed it up pretty bad. Anyway, enough. Damn nice.
