ok, i have a very general questions. i've seen a lot of the artworks now of the people posting on the board here, i was especially fascinated by the pictures showing fantasy scenes. now i'm wondering how do you draw realistic looking humans without having a real model in front of you? i find it quite hard getting the proportions/muscles etc. right just out of my mind. got any advices for me?

thanks

Just study the human body alot. In time it'll come natural when you draw. So go buy a book on anatomics/proportions etc.
Study people around you and how they behave.
You can also take classes, where prof teachers can learn you how to do it.

I started drawing some months ago.. i would like to suggest you getting some megazines and try copying human forms etc...

Then use your finger to give some aspect of 3d rendering.... Just to help me with shadings with muscles etc....

doing like this i got a lot faster learning how to draw... but i am still waaay way far!!!

Here's an example of finger drawing i did a lot of time ago!
