Name's TJ and I've recently been snatched out of school to work in the gaming industry as a Production Artist. I've been following the boards here for a couple weeks now. I've seen the work of Dhab, Liquid! and spooge, amoung others, so I'm excited over the prospect of learning some stuff from the people that frequent these boards. I mostly do 3D work like environments and characters including modeling, texturing and animation but I'm looking to continue my practice to become a concept artist and painter, both digital and traditional.
Hopefully I'll have some of my latest work to show soon but first I need a website to host my images. I have one with my old school but it takes forever for them to update and I'd rather have one that I have more control over content-wise and what-not. If anybody has any suggestions as to where I should or shouldn't go to get a site I'd appreciate it.
Until then, here's a pic I did over the summer, crits are more than welcome of course (hopefully I got the code right to get it to appear...I'm new to this message board stuff).
Hmmm...seems the tag isn't working but here's the link:

Just go to geocities and get a free page. At least it will give some where to post images until you have the time and money to do a full webpage.

Ey !!! I started this weekend in this Forum and I had the same problem with that UBB code. !!!
You only have to put the wed-direction of your image in the next way:
(Note that you musnt enter spaces)
Here you have a direction were you will find the complete listing of UBB codes... (list included in the FAQ section )
http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/ubbcode.html
Here is your picture...
From your picture...
Axe and boots are really good textured !!!
In the othe hand the helmet-too-yellowish-part and his too-beard-inked have not yet conviced me...
But I like a loooooooot his rounde nose !!! (-o-)
Ah! I forgot tell you one thing: you can delete the past "edited message" message if you want, then only will remain the last one...
I hope have helped you in any way...
See ya around !!!

Ahh, I see why it didn't work now. I had the syntax for the tag right but the address all wrong 'cuz I swear I was following the instructions in the faq from the start.
The comments on the beard and the axe are right on...I just spent so much time fooling around with different overall looks that I got tired and decided to move on to other images. The axe I actually modeled really quick in 3DMAX and painted over it but it never quite matched up with the rest of the image...foreshortening's always tough to get just right.
I'll check out geocities...seen a lot of people here with addresses there so I guess it'll tide me over 'til I get a 'real' page.
Thanks for the info people! |
