Since you seem to have trouble with faces, I suggest you just draw faces without the bodies. Worry about them later.

For the time being, just draw faces and different parts of the face. Noses, eyes, lips, ears etc.. Oh and don't forget to practice proportion and placement of those features.

Once you have that nailed, you will automatically begin to connect the neck and all the rest...

IN class just look around a quickly sketch a few of the faces around... the teacher is a good source also

as far as proportions go with the body, if I remember right, shoulder to shoulder is 3 head widths apart. If you're really concerned about faces and etc, these are some things Fred made in the past that might help you. Try to look up some of his past tutorials on heads and etc...also, I put his eyes, nose, and lips tutorials[?] on my ftp..
