Here's something I drew earlier today during my lunch hour, someone want to try out and add some ink to it (shadows etc) or color, I suck at both, I'm afraid =)
I tried to make the lines as clean as possible, and used plain 0.7mm marker. It came up surprisingly clear overall, thought it was drawn straight off with marker with no penciling. I don't think that this qualifies as "art", I'd just like to see what you can come up with it.
the 1bit 4000pixel version can be found here
Plain commenting is also very welcome.

Cool pic, only thing that caught my eye was that it looks like a hole of some sort between his pecks. Maybe loose the black "shading" there?

[CSM]: thanks, and now that you mentioned it, it _does_ look like a hole or third eye between the pecks. consider it fixed now =)
Isric: thanks a lot, that must've been the biggest compliment I've ever got =). i do admire the way he uses line, it's steady but still vivid even if there are no variations in the thickness of the line. what do you think, should i go all the way in shading this with markers?
