Sad stuff happened and this fitted my mood.. The wings look fine to me.. But the pose looks a little strange... Anyone got some input for me please??
I would really apreciate it.
Tah..

Might I suggest a more dynamic pose, as below:
I guess it's something of a cop-out, since I didn't really change the pose that much, but camera angles are important too. Good luck with it,

maybe if the seraphym was walking towards you and kind of looking down, so it would be still straight on... sad stuff sucks, just like my day :-( |

you can still have him straight on, just shift his torso back more like anthony has, makes it more intersting instead of having him perfectly staight on

Hmm - a few questions then:
1)Is he flying or not?
2)Do you want him to be sad, happy, glorious, lucid(sort of like I have in my sketch), or something else?
3)What is it you want him to be doing?
Answer those and I can give you a sketch to work from. :]

He is sposed to be off the ground a little... screaming at heaven for stealing the love of his life away... he is furious and heart broken..

Umm, this took like 2 minutes, but hopefully it can kind of convey the idea I had. I had it perfectly envisioned, but this was what came out. Eh.

Me getting technical....Seraphs have 3 pairs of wings, not 1. Seraphim is plural form. |

in the bible they have 6 pairs.
Just because there is only one pair there does not mean there will be one pair when i finnish.

This is an ultra quickie...
One thing you could do is avoid having the edge of the page cut off your figure. I tried to keep the general attitude of the figure more or less the same. I'm no biblical scholar, so I don't know what the seraphim are really supposed to look like, so I just made something up. Mostly I just solidified the form a little (altho still probably full of anatomy errors, but this seems like a pretty stylized feel you're going after) and added a simple light source to add some value to the figure (light on the face and fading as it goes down).
Hope that is worth something...
Cheer up kid.

Thanks Francis. I will try get everything in the image.
As for the pose. He is screaming at heaven... Which means his torso and back are arched a fair bit.. he is almost parallel to the ground... arms at 45 % angle etc..
His head and chest should be almost the same hight... He is sposed to be n pain and stuff... if you can image his chest exploding towards heaven.. I hope that makes some sense...
Francis: Seraphim is the guardian of god.. the first ones that stand between god and evetyhign else.. the only weapon they have is the word of god.. no swords etc.. they are red skinned.. they also have 6 sets of wings etc. they in some tales etc only have 3 sets...
But yeh.. they are the most powerful angels and the most important ones to god..

Really? I thought it was 6 wings. Glad I made that comment or else I wouldn't have learned that . I have an odd fascination with seraphim..

Hello everybody
Jenn I just wanted to say that your pose looks to me perfectly fitted to your description of the "mood" of the seraphim ... all the other pose people proposed are good, but your first one really made me think the first time that this angel was desesperate and angry against God himself maybe ... I think you should just use this great pose
well that was my 2 poor cents |

Jenn-here is a couple tries. Actually, one try with a few leg options. I think that instead of straight on, and instead of an upshot, a down shot would help. Especially if you are trying to emphasize the emotional content. As long as he is looking up, you should be able to get the idea of who he is yelling at...
Hope it helps a bit...

Aww sorry Jenn. I didn't know. You always seem so busy with work, I thought I'd be bugging you if I was asking you to draw me squirrel pictures all the time
I'll try to think of something cool for you to draw for me. Hmmmmm... hehehe.

Good thing Dhabih increased the size of the index page I was would miss most of the threads that appear here.
I like your version alot Jenn. It's the only one where the expression is not over emphasised, which gives a kinda mystic quality to it.
Liquid: Very nice, very Bisley... I approve.
