Hi!
I have started with an image that in some way must include a Phoenix Bird. But it was harder than I thought to create a majestic creature of that kind.
If anyone could provide me some rough sketches it would be great.
I know many of you have better better fantasy skills than I do :-)
Thanks! |

I feel bad when people ask for help and they don't get it.
Give us some more info on how you want the bird, will it be more of a graphic element, or will it be something that has volume?
I've always thought of phoenix birds as whispy things with flames that hop about and around it. I can imagine its talens as large gushing bursts of flame that spew outward and have white hot claws.
I bet it eyes would be white hot also, maybe some red swirlying around in them like you just diped your water color brush with red paint into a glass with milk in it.
So the next question is,how do you give something that emits a constast light all over the feeling of depth..hmmmm..I guess you could do it with contour lines being made by the flames, or use different colors of the flame for shaded areas, some areas cooler than the others.
Ok,maybe i've sparked (hehehe) an idea for ya to help get ya going.

Hi! Thank's for your interest.
I think it will be more of a pretty flat graphic element. It should be seen from the front with its wings wide spread. The bird should look up towards the sky (maybe look a little angry), and in its clows it should hold an object that it is lifting from the ground.
I'm not sure how I want the colours on it yet, but right now I'm more interested in some rough black/white sketches to see what could be done with the wings and the head.
Thanks!
