Very nice once again Boomer!

Crits:
His bicep area needs work, it seems the upper arm is broken. =) The shading on his face is very sharp and contrasted (cheek) with a higher specular and lower ambiant level, were as the body seems more flat and ambiant (facial skin IS oilier so, I guess that could be partly an oppinion but the ambiant level is still brigther it seems to me). The backlighting on his right elbow needs touching up... I think it shouldn't be so harsh so high up and should falloff smoother to the forearm -- on the same topic, maybe think more about the angles of the musculature bumps, and making this backlight a bit more homogeneous (upperarm vs torso/waist/neck).

Oppinions:
This guy's waist and neck just might be a little too thin compared to the size of his pects and head for instance, but I guess that's what gives is a charicaturesque look.

Hmm, overall, it's a very cool and nice painting! Love your stuff! =))

cheers,
frost.

thanks guys,

I should have said...expressionistic instead of impressionistic...(I looked it up in the dictionary)

Frost - Dude, I don't know how you do it. But every single time your're there to point out the weak spots...STOP IT!

I did go for a style that would allow me to do the paints really fast. Since the last stuff I've done I needed something a little more loose. Your're right about the head being more contrasted. It was partly intentional in the way that it was here I wanted the focus to be. I see now that I really shouldn't have made the elbows that shiny...ahh well...Other areas need work as well...

I like the image and if it was done quickly, it looks really good. My main gripe with the picture was the nuckles on the hands. They look like wooden pegs or something. BooMStick has some good crits but I guess you've figured that out by now.

You should do another one with an arrow going through the apple and him with a horrified look on his face, looking at the apple. he he.

Nice Boostick. I think you and me have a
quite similar style in many ways.
One thing i noticed was the tilted composition. The guy fills out the space of the painting quite well, but the composition disturbes me a bit. I think it looks too tilted. The eye on the right needs more work and also the nose and neck. Overall, very nice indeed

micke - thanx. I'm not sure I understand what you mean about that the composition is too tilted. It would be nice if you would point it on my painting..maybe draw in some lines to show what you mean???

Your're right that alot of areas need work. But I did intend this to be a painted sketch, and thats why I didn't really bother fixing up on those things... The general feel was more important...makes sense?

I like this picture as well, as everything else you do
Nice colors, and "wet" painting style
I haven't erad what the rest of the guys have said, so I guess I'm repeating others ?!? To fix, proportionalwise, I would say the neck and the nose..and maybe the pelvis area could be a bit bigger.. though I like that it's a bit twisted, as I guess that is your intention ...anyway, nice work....
