I've always loved Halloween I was out taking some pics of the forest near my house a few days ago, and I was thinking ghosts would be cool in the scenes.. so here's what I came up with.
I tried making them look like old photos. Hope I scare ya.. hehe

The Symbols are about 3 sticks that made a symbol of a headless body. If you wear it as an amulet it will help you get out of the forest. When you wear it, you start to see more hung around the forest of the Blair Witch, and if you don't wear it, the forest will twist beneith your feet and you'll never get out.

The ghosts are to visible, theyre brighter then the brightest spot in the picture.. hehe.. make em scary.. make it so you think you just see a forest at first.. but! theres a little dead girl playing by a park bench hehe, a little duller and more invisible like

I really liked the images and the concept. Something simple yet effective. It might be an idea to dim the brightness of the white and make it a little bit more transparent. I don't know. Really nice to see some photo work on the forum. The painting on the forum is fantastic but variety is the spice of life.
Also on the second photo, there looks to be too much of a blur around the character. Try grabbing hold of a mask and eliminationing this halo effect as compared with the first image, it isn't as believeable.

Matt Elder: Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try, mainly making them a little more transparent, more on the second image though. The first one I think is a pretty good balance of transparency. As for the blur around the second character, it should be exactly the same amount as the first. Maybe if I turn down the transparency a little more it won't look that way as much. Though, I kinda liked the blur being more like that. *shrug*
Thanks
