Getting better, but still having issues. I used some photo reference for this one, but ended up fudging a lot more than I probably should have.

Any comments?

In the photo I've got, the model is lit entirely by sky light . . . I actually warmed her up a bit, but apparently not enough

Thanks for the feedback.

Caucasiod skin is hardly ever beige though . . . the dermis is a very transluscent volume with lots of red and blue veins under it. You can't really pin it down to a certain color.

If you pick a dozen random photos off the net and eyedroppper the skin tones in all of them, you'll hit a different part of the spectrum every time.

I like all your figure paintings

Her face looks frighteningly real, so, good work with that!
I don't know what it is, but the colour you have chosen for her skin seems to suggest and extremely strong light source rather than just a subtle sun lit environment.

If you continue with the pic, make sure the highlights on the trees in the background correspond with her.

I hope this helps
http://nouveaunet.com/bouguereau/images/bouguereau/29.jpg

more subtle color and value steps in the light...what colors would reflect into the flesh from the background?

do a search for william bouguereau and your answers will be found

I had seen that dude's illustrations, but never had a name to go with them. Thanks.

I'm really starting to enjoy this tablet business

like the upper part of her body
looks pretty good especially the face
but as already mentioned the skin color
should be ''warmed up''

I think the lit grass would throw some green diffuse light on her feet and lower legs, but I might be wrong.
