Hi,
Would like some constructive critique on this digital painting which I am doing in Painter with a photo reference. Concentrating on using water based tools on this.
Thanks, [CSM]

Looks very nice. no crit from me, (it's the point past my bedtime where I'm likely to say stupid shtuff that don't make any cents.)
tidy up that blob of skin colour (I'm assuming it's a hand) and you should be set.
Oh, and welcome |

Wow thats really awesome! You got her proportions down really well, and i love the way you used the colors. I agree with rinaldo tho, the hand on the bottom right could be a little more defined. and maybe some of the strands of hair to the right could be touched up slightly. other than that, beautiful work! welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the friendly welcoming, guys.
I didnt really know what to do with the painting, I was initially aiming for a very "painterly" style, but then I added more and more detail to the face, but left the hair and hand very primitive. At first I thought that would just bring the face and the eyes more to focus, but I guess youre right, I need to refine them a bit. Ill post an update when Ive done that.
