Well.. It's a shaman as you might've guessed.
The next step in the process will be to color it but, that's where my problem is, I don't know how to make the light right (rhymes) since the fire is the only lightsource.
The sketch is quite worthless... my scanner messed up all the details.. but that will be fixed..
Another question, shall i use a very tiny paintbrush to do the contours on the digital version?
wellwell, enough talking, here's the image.
Thanks in advance.

I think that if you shade it properly, with the fire being the main lightsource, it would be very nice. Try to make the skull bigger, it's too small for an human skull.

Look! There's a three headed monkey behind you! |

Yes, it could turn out good, but i don't know if i'm going to do it in painter or photoshop, an suggestions?
The skull isn't human though, or maybe it's one of those shrinked heads...
Thanks for you reply btw. |

The image looks like it shows a lot of promise. A couple of comments though, the image looks a little stiff, the legs are together, the arm is at a right angle to the body and the character is bolt up right. Maybe if the character was a bit more fluid it might look a little bit better. The image also seems to be in 2 quaters, a top left quater with the man and bird and bottom right quater with a fire. This leaves almost half the image with nothing. If you are going to go this way, you will need a good background to fill up the space.

Hi Matt, glad you replied..
Yes, i agree, the image looks like two parts but i plan to fix that when i do the background...
The characters stiff pose is meant to be that way, i got quite inspired by brom's fantastic paintings. Their poses are quite stiff too sometimes.
Well well, i've made a litte update where i added som colors just to see which colors to use... Although, another problem occured, shall the highlight be red-ish because of the color of the fire?
maybe it was unnecessary to post this when so little is updated but i thought this would give you a better idea of how it's supposed to look... Ooops, damn, i'm writing much when it's about myself =)
I'll stop now. |
