i like this style too. somehow the first time i saw it.. it reminded me of japanese women.. who are alwayz dressed in those really nice, oriental clothing...

I like the fingers. but i think they're too chubbyish for her.. they dont' seem to be womanly.. but like a fat guy's hand. hehe

Thanks - just a doodle, definitely needs some refinement. I agree that the hands seem a little beefy, or something.

Hurricane - ?? I don't think I understood your entire post.

This took maybe 15-20 minutes. It was one of those things that you don't plan, you just open up a file and start making shapes. Kinda like this guy:

Both pics are pretty cool. I like the loose strokes in the first one. The second one is great too. I really like the facial structure, well defined and strong.

Nice francis. I've always thought that it would be possible to do some nice brush work digitaly. fine lines don't seem to go down all that well but fluid fast strokes seem ok. Looks like you're using Photoshop non? I'd go for painter.
Actuialy I remember seeing way back a bird done in painter along these lines, let me see....here we go http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002385.html The link is still active I think. done by Grant F. pretty nice IMHO.

To me the japanese brush painting is a very intereting mix of absolute precision with very fluid and free strokes.

I really was first thinking if the girl was not a digital image originally, but really some clues led to it (it really is very obvious after 10 seconds . But as everyone has seen previously, Francis has it, so the quality is no surprise - the head however leaves something to desire for imho, but considering it a 20 minute job, it's very nice.

I guess everybody agrees doing stuff with pen+paper can be frustrating sometimes without Ctrl-Z.
