here is a try on matte painting/photo manipulation:
thats the matte:
please look closely and see if there is something unusual going on.
and here is the original
I would be happy about some opinions and feedback/tips/comments, whatever - throw it my way.
oh and try it yourself, its fun

oh my, that's a good one!
if i have to say something, the edge of the wing might need a little bit of 'sharpen' effect.
the image seems to have a little bit of sharpen filter applied to it, or it's been taken with a digital camera which has a builtin sharpen filter (most of them do) - and this effect seems to be lacking from the wing edge. perhaps. dunno. or maybe it might need a 'tighter' antialias. or both. or neither.
warning, i often find myself being wrong :)

Hightop: It was my first try on doing something like that, I don't think I am in the positon to write a tutorial about that - but thanks for the suggestion |
