She's a character I've been monkeying around with for my comic. Is the quarterstaff a tired concept after Xena? I'm thinking she's either going to be a sorceress or a martial artist of some kind... like a female monk.

Hehehe, she's the naughty night nun! But seriously folks, I really dig this picture. Very nicely done (I've always loved your minimal pallete work).
If I were you I woudn't make her a martial artist. Your comic rocks to much to stain it like that. Just make her a staff master (staff masters are just as good and they fit the genre) Thems my two cents! Doink! |

Great character. I love the brown wash. Are you thinking of doing the whole comic in this style. Travis Charest did a
Wolverine, Zealot with a limited palette it was very cool.

Excellent work elf!
Definately, your line work is very nice. Looks like she's got a lot of character to her, a lot of 'I may look hot, but wait till you see my flaming staff of death!' kinda thing...ya know...silent, but leathal.
Nice expression too. |

Nice concept sketch Elf. I'd get rid of the staff and give her knives instead. I always thought knife fighters were pretty cool. Plus, you could do throwing knives and such. However, that would be for a more offensive character. A staff is more of a defensive weapon. |

Knives might be cool.
I might have to drop the staff anyway.. Xena 'bout ruined taking Bo fighters seriously...
Katas with a Bo staff are some of the most beautiful around. No.. I don't mean her 'katas'.

Awwww! Gorgeous! And forget Xena, I like a slender female fighter with a quarterstaff/bo much better, than with a giant spiked flail she never could fling. Appropriate weapons rule...
Boy, she is cute. Though she bought her top one size too big...but then again, spandex is for marvel |
