Hi guys. It's nice to have the forum back online, eh?

I recently redesigned http://digitalart.org and added a few services. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

One of the new services is web-based e-mail under the digital-artist.org domain name. You could sign up and get [email protected]. It's very similar to Hotmail and YahooMail.

The second service is URL Redirection. It's basicly a CJB.net type service. You can choose either to have yourname.digitalart.org or yourname.digital-artist.org redirect to your website. Cloaking is an option.

I hope many of you will find these free services to be useful.

Now go check out the site if you haven't already.

Thanks.

Gliebster,

VERY nice site! I hadn't seen the old version but I like the new one very much! Bookmarking it now so I can come back and dig into it in more detail!

Hi Gliebster.

Nice re-design! I've been a fan of Digitalart.org, and these new features look like they definately be strengthening that kinship.

My only problem is with the cloaking option you have. It seems that it interrupts the redirection when turned on.

That's not supposed to happen ... right?

Anyway, I'd just like to mention how upset I am that I've never made it into the top 20 - although I guess I should be spending my time improving my skils, rather than wasting it complaining

Thanx for the site

Interrupts the redirection? Hmmm... that shouldn't happen. What does it do instead of redirecting? All the current cloaked subdomains seem to redirect fine.

It's Craig Mullins' fault that nobody else get's into the Top 20. There's 500 pieces in the gallery and about 20 of them are Craig's. Do that math.

I just set your subdoman to cloak and it redirects fine. I set it back to not cloak like tou had it before.

I also fixed a little bug where the descriptions and keywords weren't showing up correcting when you try to update the settings.

All seems to be well now.

That's strange, for me the cloaked url's merely load as blahblah.digitalart.org, with no content and the default title. They don't contact the actual page at all. In fact, the only link from the recent additions that works for me is April's.

I'm using Netscape 4.0.5 - could it be a conflict there?

Cloaking wasn't working in NS. It's all better now.

Cos I set it to no cloak. I have enough frames on my page so I don't use cloaking, and my f2s url isn't too ugly.

Yours worked for me cos I use IE and Glieb said the problem was cloaking in Netscape. Anyway, it seems to be okay now.

Ok, gotta change my forum sig!

Btw, how come [email protected] isn't on too? I wouldn't use it anyway, just wondering. (Give an inch, take a mile...)

Email works. It's [email protected]

I couldn't use the digitalart.org domain because that would fux0r my sendmail and such... then the submission form and other things would cease to function.
