I just bought a twelve-inch Intuos off a friend, and these were a couple exercises I did to get the feel of the tablet. Not only had I never used a tablet before (well, not for more than a couple minutes anyway), I also had never used Painter. So these are my first tablet/Painter pics.

They aren't very good, and I didn't use any reference . . . just trying to get a feel for painting without having my hand all clawed-up around a corded rodent.

I've never liked the tablets I've tried in the past, but this big one really changed my opinion . . . I tend to work large in traditional media, so the bigger surface just feels more natural to me.

Anyway, I'm not really looking for hardcore critique on these, just sharing.

That second pic's girl's chest is like that robot from that 1930's sci-fi movie with that evil female robot which I should know the name of, along with the name of the robot... no fanboy am I

Mucho cool lighting on that top one! Yowsas! Very 3d!

That first one is really nice. Lots of energy. Painter kicks ass, no?
