Hey XCal!

that Ronin fella is great! love that kind of style, it's what i'm working towards at the moment. he kinda makes me think of Guy of Final Fight / Street Fighter fame
Capcom and influence for you?

Thanks Neutral!

"Rojin"(hard to see the pencil name)is one of several characters for an online comic project I'm developing in the next year. There are many more characters I will be posting up. These are just profile studies, to get a visual sense of what they will look like. The cool thing is, this project will be a huge part of my professional portfolio. I think being a good sequential illustrator covers a lot of areas that game companies look for, including good grasp of proportion, character design, backgrounds, camera angles, and action poses.

I suppose you could say Japanese game art is a big influence for me, as my project will include lotsa kung-fu action. I think my style could be best described as a combination of Eastern game art and western comic art.

thanks.. it took me 15 minutes ~

i posted them in both places, i didn't feel like re-typing, so i cut and pasted,.. i didn't see a problem with it,.

didja see the damnSM.jpg,. it's quite large,.. but an hour into working on the image i decided to save again for the progression. and got an illegal operation message,. so i screen capped it and turned it into another image,.

pissed me off,.

ah well.,.

Some people's artwork still need SIGNATURES!

Hey B! Kudos for posting Any chance of getting those groovy pics horizontally (one space, without any carraige returns after each set of image tags)?

Same comment for Guybrush

There are lots of cool pictures in the IMAGE Gallery! Pretty neat Now, if only more would join in!!!

PS: Frost, you are funny!

Ehm... I think you got the wrong thread, B.
You probably want to post these in the "images" thread of Gallery 2000.

Cool pictures tho, I especially like the middle one.

hey everyone,

im kinda new here, and its hard not to notice everyone flamming those people who try and pass off photos and otehr stuff as their own. Well, let me be the first to say that MOST of the artwork on my site are photo-illustrations, where i used the faces and bodies as a guide to make my art. I never pretended that the artwork didnt use an underlying image, accually...i think i did a REALLY good job of stating it everywhere what i was doing. The only pictures ive done without drawing over a photo are the diakatana sword, and this latest sunset image. The Mikiko image was a step in the right direction, cuz i traced over the photo then trashed the layer early on andf redrew the arms legs and everything, i did use the photo as a proportional guide. I must say, i dont work like this anymore, i now make my own drawings, scan them in and paint them. I'm getting pretty good, but since i lost my password and the frag.com admin havnet sent me my pass back, i cant post any of the work ive produced over the last year and a half.

But honestly the website interface is all me, from scratch, even the paint wells and everything. I was never a fraud and i dont want all of u to think imma cheap bastard cuz i chose a different way to learn.

lates...

PaK, nice of you to be open with it and share. I think that's all that's necessary, for me at least

B - I had problems with this too. The best way I've found is to do either of the following...

METHOD 1:

  • Make sure at least 1 (64x64) thumbnail code works (check it until it does).
  • Make sure there is one space (and no carraige returns) after it.
  • Copy and paste this 3 times for your remaining 3 images (so there's one space between each set of image tags).
  • Change all the names/paths to suit the 3 images.
  • Remove unnecessary text (including the annoying [this message has been edited by...])
  • You can thank a UBB bug for this!

ALTERNATE METHOD (easier, but not as 'hip'... or something :P):

  • Post 4 64x64 thumbnails from left to right without the "url" tags.
  • Below the thumbnails, in your descriptive text, make the Title be the actual link to the larger size image (using "url" tags here, instead)
  • Remove any unnecessary text

Big fat hairy kudos to those that have added images (with signatures!) to their spots!

So, like, how 'bout more people put pics in their spots... heh heh...

Cheers to all and to all a good night!

Hey Trance-R - Man, that SUX!!!

All of them?! She-it!

Do you have any .jpg's or other versions of your pics somewhere? Like online?

On a different note (ack), I'm going to post the newest version of Appaku in the Gallery 2000 Image thread... but I just have to add a few more touches (and it still won't be done!)...

I was wondering who dug this up. The gallery thread would be cool.. assuming everyone has their little sections up to date.
