ICQ is quite broken. and i'm quite sad without it.

One day, it just up and up quits working. Gives me some nonsense about "Abnormal Program Termination" stemming from the Microsoft Visual Runtime Library. It starts up with the flower anim. But then towards the end of the very long load it stops. Stupid Icq99a.

I miss ICQ. I wonder how many messages I have waiting for me. I miss the days of dispensing random chatters in a flurry. I miss the endless file sends. I miss looking at my lengthy contact list and picking people out at random and talking to them for the first time in months. I miss getting belittled by faustgfx and then having him send me a link to the latest boredomsketch he had done. I miss finding people in my hometown and discovering where they lived. I miss ICQ.

I met my girlfriend/future wife on ICQ. It was the only reason for my propellment into geekdom. Without it, I would be one of the random teenage lamers floating around thinking that the lens flare filter were the shiz, along with ending every word with a z.

*sigh*

What do I do? Do I go download the newest version in hopes that it might suddenly fix itself? Do I get new Visual Runtime .dlls? Do I remain stuck in the sluggish world of AOL Instant Messenger and MSN?

Blah. :|

besides, thsi version of icq happens to have a limit to the amount of users you can set on ignore.

i have never whined about people not letting me be. i only whine about fucking idiots like "freddio's lame friend" who pull a major cockintheass stunt just outta nowhere, or just otherwise have difficulties realizing when they crossed the border between "slightly annoying" and "irritating".
