I like it. The colors are good. But I think
one "G" is enogh. But after all this is your image so you make the decisions.

Yup - filters are not a substitute for uh... not having filters, which is um, usually better. Sure. |

PH'NGLUI MGLW'NAFH CTHULHU R'LYEH WAGH'NAGL FHTAGN!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you use filters from both PSP and Photoshop? I definitely see some Hot Wax Coating in there...
Ignoring the fact that it's all filters, the composition itself is more than a bit cluttered. The words "ground zero" kind of disappear into the background. I would assume that should be the most legible part of the design, since a lowercase "g" doesn't mean very much to most people. Beyond that, if it wasn't so filter happy, it wouldn't be that bad of an image. |

I'am a little shocked by the responce's?
do layer modes & effects equal filters?
this was all done in photoshop and the only filter I used was guassine blur on the drop shadow.
sorry

hmmm.
Filters or not, it's still interesting.
You may want to think more on your color choices though. Just applying an adjustment layer randomly hoping it will look neat doesn't always work. Understand what each layer effect and adjustment does. this will help you plan out your colors more.
The focus of this image is hard to see. Is it the letters "g" or the airbrush?
Look at your repitition of the letters and ask yourself if it's overpowering your main element or focus.
I maybe putting too much into this, but I think this design could work if you pushed it some more.
Are you selling us the name or the product?
Colors are nice, but think more along the lines of complimentary colors and Analagous colors for your color use. You have some purple and yellow that's working nicely.
It's just a matter of some re-aranging and this could be a nice design.

thats... interesting. On a side note, why does everyone bash filters? Sure they're not at all good for artistic things, but there are times when they can be useful. I hope i dont get too badly ripped apart for that statement... |
