I know this is not art related, and that it doesn't belong here. So, if no one can help me, just let this thread fall down and disappear quickly.

Anyway, the problem is. I've just reinstalled win2k. And, the problem is when I read this forum. After looking at a thread, it stays with the same posts even though I refresh. What I mean is, even when I make a reply, I can't get to see my own post on that thread. When I refresh, it seems like it only refresh the graphics but not the text content of the threads.

Has anyone experienced this problem. Or know a lot about internet explorer and if there's an option to turn off this feature/mistake ?

Yeah. This belongs to the random musings!

What little I know is that you might want to try holding shift while refreshing, that makes netscape discard whatever info it has cached and load the newest version.

Joachim, Explorer uses Ctrl+Refresh to force the refresh. If that doesn't work, my best guess would be that you have some kind of caching proxy running either on your box or on the box thats a gateway on your network.

Check the Start/Setting/Control Panel/Internet Properties/Connections --> Lan Settings

maybe that will help..

From explorer...

- Tools/Internet Options
- "General" tab
- In "Temporary Internet Files" area, click "Settings..."
- Check "Every visit to the page"

I get the same problem, but at work only. At home (w2k as well), it detects when a page has been updated, but I always have to press F5 to refresh at work... annoying indeed. I have found, nor searched for a solution to this. hm.

Netscape is consider to be a shrinked penis to me! I really hate it because it crashed every 2 minute and its uncomplatible with many many many many websites. It wont survive for long, Bill Gate is a f*cking genious he knows how to do stuff except for spending money.

yes he is a genius.
Steal everyone else's ideas; buy up every free standard API then try and copyright it by changing it slightly. Make sure noone else has access to the new standards you made so none of their stuff will work with yours. Then flood the world with your crappy products. That way no one has any choice and thinks you're the best! Yay!

Hi Joachim! I haven't any kind of problems when using win2k but I wanted to say another thing. Hmm... it's true that if everyone posts questions like that here so this art forum will become blocked. Some time ago I asked something as you here and there were guys who destroyed my thread instantly. Hehee... I also got answers and I solved my problems that I wanted to. My thought was post it here (not in musings) because I quessed I would get answer quicker. Also I think there are more users in art forum. Hmm... I don't know if you had kinda same feelings. See ya around.
