Hey guys, I'm selling my tablet for anyone that's interested.
It's a Wacom 9x12 Intuos, and it comes with the pen/drivers/4d mouse. I'm selling it for $400 Canadian (roughly $220 US). It's the SERIAL version.
I am parting with it because I just took a job in Athens, Greece (yes Greece) to work as part of the design team for the 2004 Olympic Games. All my hardware/software/etc.. will be provided for me, so I don't need my current stuff anymore. Plus, the less I have to move half way across the world, the better.
Anyone that's interested, please email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

Ermm.. my original post didn't have all the information MonkeyBoy was looking for, I edited it to answer his questions.
I don't live near Ottawa.. in fact, 6 hours away. :/ I'm much closer to Toronto.
I put it up for auction on eBay as well, so .. if any of you guys want it, ya better move quickly! (I sound like some infomercial or somethin... :P)

Dang, how'd you land that gig? Sounds like a lot of fun. Hope you can still post from Greece-it's the one part of Europe I want to go to that I haven't yet.

Heh, thanks guys
Well, I actually have a friend that works for NBC. Recently, all his efforts have been focused on the Sydney Olympics and creating splash screens/icons/production graphics/etc/etc/blah/blah for NBC relating directly to the Olympics. In any case, he was offered a job from the Olympic Committee (I forget the abreviation at the moment) .. and he was asked if he could recommend any other artists.. luckily, he mentioned my name I went to an interview in New York City this past weekend (LLOONNNGG drive). And they gave me the job. Now, I'm moving to Athens with my girlfriend. Cool eh?
I'm quite excited! Now, if only Joachim/Micke/Frost/Craig/Fred/Chester/Shane/etc/etc would move to Athens too, we could have an art-party! .. Okay, that's gay. |

Congrats on the job!
I have a serial tablet too. I was thinking about getting a USB since I have to tote my tablet around campus, and USB means one less cord.
But is one less cord really worth all that money? Heh, I can carry the adapter...
except the outlets in the design labs are on the ceiling (still facing horizontally), and I'm always afraid of getting konked on the head by falling adapters
