A sketch for a new pic here. I think there's some good anatomy going on and some really broken parts as well. Perhaps you guys could help point out the problems...

Thanks

So apparently if you post in the whee hours of the morning, no one catches your work. I worked on it a bit more, but I could really use some help on the anatomy.

Don't take my word alone, cause I'm no expert, but I have a feeling his right biceps (from his pov) is a bit too "bulging". I mean, it looks like it's contracted, but it shouldn't be contracted with this arm position, especially given that he isn't holding anything in that hand.

Perhaps if you put a big heavy hammer or sword in that hand... Right now that muscle just stands out too much...

Again, that's just my opinion and I suck, so don't listen to me :-P

Hey, thanks for the response, I'm going to put some chains with a few mace heads hanging from them, so imagine heavey things hanging from chains but it still might be a bit buldgy.. i think his left elbow joint area needs something, not sure what, it just looks wrong to me, and the chest maybe a little too long. what do u think?

I'm no anatomy whiz.. but here's my rendition with some notes... as for the body type I wasn't sure if you were going for more of an oaf-ish bulk or ripped bulk.

This is just my little sketch.. nothing biggie. Hope it helps some.

Ah, so that's what the character would look like if drawn well. Thanks, that is most helpful. alot of my characters are unbalanced looking.

I just got my wacom and am really liking sketching directly on it. do you draw on the wacom the same way u do paper? how do you go about building up the forms and then from the sketch what do u do to refine it. i can kind of see whats going on with that post. its something i've been trying to deal with latley, curious how others tackled it.

thanks again

I draw with the wacom pretty much the same way I do with paper. With Wacom you can mimic lots of different media which is really cool. Basically the right hand side is what I lay down first at a really light tone (when I'm doing line stuff) and then go over it with darker more detailed lines. But mostly what I'm doing with the tablet is more painty stuff.

I'm glad the pic helped ya!
