hey everyone
im just learning painter and i know its a simple question, when i try to make a stroke with any of the tools (im using a tablet) whenever i put the stylus down to make a stroke it makes a line from the side of the page to the point were i put down my stylus, do you guys no what i mean ??? the only way to make it not do that is to lift my stylus up and out it right down and make a stroke, so i loose alot of control

This sounds like a driver problem, there's been known driver issues with older Wacom drivers and Painter! (I'm guessing that you are using a Wacom tablet?).
1. Download newer drivers if available, from www.wacom.com
2. Read Painter's troubleshooting guide.

I have the same problem.
But I think it has to do with the computer trying to "build" the brush or something. It isnt the drivers unless the bug is still there. using 4.51
Frustrating!
