Howdy. I want to show you guys this logo I made for the new school I am attending to. Can you believe it's called "Mountain"?!!! Burnaby Mountain Secondary School. Ugh!!! And the school color is an ugly dark green! UUuuGGH!!!! Oh, um, anyways. Here's the logo.

nice line wieght....try this:

pick a lightsource and the parts that the light hits do thin lines, the parts where shadow is thicken the inking line, also try and smoothly move from thick to thin around the curved edges...

<maybe parts where there is pressure, like where the paws touch the ground, u might wanna make thin...to signify pressure.

that might make yer inkings even better then they are...which are pretty good i must say.

Thanks WacoMonkey and Pak-Rat!
Pak-Rat, I think I should try to do what you said. Heh. I did this very late at night yesterday... I do find the paws not too satisfying. (Can't signify pressure!!! Aaah) That's what I've been trying to do! Thanks!

I'm not the only one who thought of something obscene when I read the topic, am I?

Ha!! I thought someone would ask that question. Maybe I'd get attention of a few more people. That's about it! f^k... This kind of logo would definitely sell for somewhere around $300.00 dollars.

Hey Trance-R! long time since we chatted. I've made the jump to UBC... I'm taking FINA100 (Art history) and FINA181 (basic studio practice), plus I plan on taking a 3DSMAX course down at VFS sometime this year. I'll tell you how things work out, for when you graduate, k?

This is a very nice logo. The next step is to take things away from it to simplify it even more. If you were to reduce this logo to a smaller size, you would probably lose a lot of what you're trying to say. Perhaps make the cat one silhouette on a cliff that's a single shape? Everything is just a *tad* too complicated, so you have to decide what small details/shapes need to go, yet still letting your logo deliver the same message (ie: the small details in the rock-ledge). So yes, very nice job, just take it to the next level. Good luck!
