http://www.genesiscomics.com/SOTW/index.htm
It has something called the "Swipe of the Week" where they expose artists ripping off other artists. It's pretty interesting, so check it out.
Just scroll down a bit and click on the archives.
It's amazing the amount of stuff that is copied. |

Wow I've noticed this shit a few times but it just goes to show you how incredibly foul the comic industry has become! Just a bunch of MAD/LEE/ROSS/CAMPBELL etc...clones popping up all over the place. Losers
Sorry for the ranting...stress has successfully been releaved

HAHAHAHAHAHAH this is some funny stuff. Couple of high profile guys I really despise in there getting trashed and exposed. Great stuff.
I think the sadest thing is all those sniveling little fanboys flipping through their comics trying to find similar pics though.
Seriously there are a lot of things that get copied by accident (not necessarily in comics) simply through the subconcious. you see something and then forget it. only that it's still tucked deep down in your head. then when you remember it you may think it's your own. This often happens when you see something for an instant. you know your pic/idea looks like something that you've seen before but can't remember where. Basicaly one is only a product of their surroundings. "Originality is the art of hiding your sources". Sometimes it's fun to redo a concept. get inspired by something. A lot of this stuff is a bit petty.
With this said I can see some stuff which has been plain old traced in there...heh...
I wouldn't think of the comic industry being particuarly original in the first place There is a lot of crap about being original in comics mainly because a lot of the super heros look the same. arguments about one character having a similar name or similar colours, blah blah. You can't copyright the human form anyway.
Talk about blah blah.....heh...thanks for that jasonN. rather amusing.
