fheng.....you are absolutely the coolest FUCKING conceptual artist i have ever seen....you blow away any type of hand drawn art ive ever seen before.......your originality + imagination blows my mind, and your detail is so heavy its amazing! absolutely stunning work, and your site is very very nice in its simplistic and slick look. |

The simplicity of the site really makes your drawings stand out. I wouldn't change it. It's well designed and looks very professional. I need to rework my site as well and I think I'm going to go for more of a simple approach like yours.
And great artwork. Man, you got it goin' on definitely. I really like the woman with the mechanical bat wings. Great stuff. What are you working on now? |

I like the oriental flavor in your patterns, symbols. I don't dig the designs (don't hit me). They don't have that industrial look (Mead,Chaing) but comic look. Bang more, I dont necessarily like your stuff but I get my own ideas from looking at it. |

Hey Vortx
Beautiful drawings, dude.
I'm especially impressed by your line confidence. A lot of artists (myself sometimes included) are hesitant to show line drawings with no shading or coloring. I'll admit to sometimes attempting to distract the viewer by "hiding" my initial line errors with lots of pencil shading or cross-hatching.
It takes courage to let the the naked-ness of your lines stand on their own for all the world to see like that.
Your kung-fu is strong, my friend...

Hey Feng! Nice work, I like the site a lot, it has everything it needs to have, no more, no less.. It's right to the point, which is
-THE ARTWORK-, and unlike many others doesn't try to hide behind too many fancy schmancy flash anims or what have you.. The art itself is the key and the main focus. You keep it simple yet effective, and present the art in a way which keeps the viewer interested to see the whole works. Good job man.
As for your art, I am very glad you put a site up because so much of your stuff is really inspiring. I especially like some of the creature designs you have in there. As well as the characters. I'm curious to see how well your concept designs get translated into realtime (or prerendered?) graphics. With so much detail and strong shape it should take a pretty decent modeller/texturer to adapt the designs properly. It would be great to see some of your designs from concept to finished model some time. Maybe you do your game models yourself, I don't know..
Well, great stuff again, hope to see more stuff soon.

thanx everyone for the kind words. Now i HAVE to work hard and draw to keep my site updated. Ahh....the pressure.
Well, i'll be drawing all this week...so hopefully i'll have something up by this friday or saturday.
Hey Christer, i agree w/ the low-poly transition stuff. I came from more of a movie background (at least that's why was tought in school)....so polys didn't come into play. But now that i work for realtime games...i'm starting to learn the restrictions. It's pretty fustrating...but i'm getting the hang of it. Of course detailed concept art can always be used to sell your game to publishers. =)
